Re: a few new ones...

As for the first one, it has no serious lowpass, so I'd say it's likely pre-broadcast. I've seen prefm material that looks like this, too.

Second one looks like post-broadcast and might or might not be lossy sourced. Something like "mp2 or not > fm/tv (> ana?) > digi" for example. Can't tell at all at this resolution, please try increasing the window size for the spectral view from 64 to 256

Re: a few new ones...

the "bs1983-11-04" (sabbath?) looks like 1) an FM (red stripe aka carrier) and 2) like it has been speed-corrected (perfect black at the top). Doesn't look like prebroadcast since it has the stripe, but ssamadhi97 says he's seen them look like this before... I can't say I have. Can't really say much more, would like to see a better SA zoomed to 2 seconds. if you wanna yousendit a clip to five at ttd dot com feel free.

"ther93-04-03" I'm not sure about... could be lossy, could be 32k DAT likewise, I would love to check a sample of this that I could zoom around on and listen to.

Toad The Wet Sprocket 1990-04-11 on archive.org for example.

And this bs show looks like it still has some signal going on above 16kHz, that's what makes me think it might be pre-broadcast.

btw iirc ~16kHz tone indicates tv, not fm.
