New Torrents and Seed Allocation Question

I have some general questions...I just like to understand how things work:

When a new torrent is posted and a few people hop on it...Does one person get priority over the connection to the seed?

Does everybody get priority if in super seed mode (aka smaller pieces right)?

Or is it all just completely random as to who gets "priority"?

I'm sure there's some kind of algorithm in there somewhere. Probably depends on what the seed is downloading as well and how much bandwidth he can allocate? Anybody know anything about this? Thanks

Re: New Torrents and Seed Allocation Question

i'm by no means an expert when it comes to BT things, but its my understanding that no one gets "priority" per se--more that each persons d/l speed is affected by their connection speeds, whether or not they're firewalled/don't have their ports forwarded properly, and the number of peers connected to.

here's a few sites that you might find some more info at...
