lossy or something else?

could this be something else than lossy? sorry I'm new to this spectral analysis thing. It's apparently ripped from a vinyl, what i dont belive. its a studio session recording or demo and its very hissy too. any idea

yes, for sure that is lossy! the abrupt cutoff & blocks give it away.

I once saw Five explain it as like 'legos' or 'blocks' (I think it was Jamie who said that). Yours is flat here, then flat there, then another flat.... no spikes at all like a regular SA.
