How to burn two DVDs on one disc

Does anyone know if this can be done, and if yes, how?

I'd like to download both Mozart torrents, both are less than 4 GB so they should fit on one disc, if it can done.

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to burn two DVDs on one disc

I assume you mean burn a *playable* DVD (you can, of course, easily burn both shows to a DVD, but it just won't be playable in a DVD player). You will lose your menus, but it is doable. I believe there is a tutorial over on videohelp.com on how to do this. Perhaps someone can post a link to which tutorial they found to be the best.

With the price of discs being so cheap, why?

Why have two discs when you can have one?

I think DVD2One can do this, and I may have managed this before, I just can't remember right now...

If I remember correctly you do lose the menus, maybe even the chapters, but the DVD plays on a standalone.

The other option would be to reauthor both DVDs onto one disc, keep the chapters, if there are any, and create new menus.

Re: How to burn two DVDs on one disc

not a free program, but it does all the tedious work for you.

DVDFab www.dvdfab.com

ill use it if I need to split a dvd9 or merge a few short movies.

Quote:
Merge: Combine several titles of several sources into one DVD:
Merge season DVDs to fewer discs.
Create your own special features collection disc.

Split: Copy a DVD-9 onto two DVD-5 discs with 100% quality, and preserve original menus on both discs. Ideal for episodic/season DVD movies, TV series, etc.
of course, you dont share back out these 'customized' discs.

If it can split a DVD9 into two DVD5s without compression, why not share it? It hasn't become lossy. Unless it re-encodes the video and/or audio.

That would be why. I prefer the easy way.

It wouldn't take up much time to reauthor a DVD if the DVD authoring software accepts DVD files.

The chapters are most likely 5-minute random, so you just import the two DVD folders, slap on a simple menu with 5 minute chapters, and burn one disc, not two.

DVD2One I think does the same thing, but without menus.

find a free download of DVD Shrink here http://http://www.pcworld.com/downlo...scription.html,
then follow the steps shown in this tutorial:

http://www.dvdshrink.info/splitting-v2-3.php

It's true that you lose any cool menus there may have been, so you have to decide if you really want them or not - if not, then this is a great way to create a 'compilation' dvd...

happy shrinking!

Zeb

The link doesn't work, and I don't want to split, but merge two DVDs into one.

Re: How to burn two DVDs on one disc

I wouldn't "seed" it, but sure as heck would trade it.

Dunno who would trade for classical music, but if someone wanted it I would pass it along.

Do you think everything that gets seeded here is lossless? Not the case.

I downloaded a Walsh compilation that has segment that is CVD. Whoever authored it must have ignored the warnings, the disc is full of errors and cannot be copied. And I can't reauthor it because some of the files are not DVD compliant.
