Re: Making menus/setlist for DVD on a Mac

Yeah, I noticed that the stats on it were very slightly different than the stats I got on GSpot - 5.56 Mbps vs. 5.30 Mbps. But, I figure that is close enough.

Re: Making menus/setlist for DVD on a Mac

werd...when loading a vob file, that prog gives you the option of opening just the one vob [such as VTS_01_1.VOB] or all in the stream [VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, etc...]

if you select one at a time, a CBR encoded disc should remain constant...a VBR show will change for each vob...

but as you said, its close enough for our purposes

It sounds like MPEG Streamclip would be more accurate than GSpot then. GSpot will only allow you to drop one vob on it, so if it's VBR, you only get the VBR for that VOB. Whereas Streamclip does the VBR for the whole show.
