Computors - Huh!

Why is it my PC "Chooses" which site to upload to above another when seeding. Mine likes "The demon" (where ratio`s dont count ) more than here, and as for Dime, I still haven`t got a 1-1 ratio after 3 yrs!

Re: Computors - Huh!

Your PC isn't choosing anything. It all comes down to what sort of pipe other people, and you, have, both for u/loads and d/loads.
If you have good speed then it will move quicker. If you have a few with good speed it will move even more quicker (bad grammar).

I come across this problem all the time at different sites.

Re: Computors - Huh!

Because the Demon has more traffic on a constant...

You can join or start a seed, leave it on 24/7 @ demon, & you'll get 2000 people who latch onto that seed in a week. On dime, here & other specific torrents, you are lucky to get in the hundreds over a week's time 24/7...

Of course, the other differences are that, while you get such large numbers, you also get less quality. You'll get more hit & runners @ demon/pirate & you'll find a mish mash of files, ranging in various qualities. Places like here, you'll get more people who will try & seed for a 1:1 ratio & you know that for the most part quality is assured...

Re: Computors - Huh!

Hi Malcolm, this might help. Cap the upload speed of the torrents you're referring to. You can also change the number of upload slots a torrent is using or change the priority level. Use a 'normal' client like uTorrent, Vuze, or Transmission, keep your PC (torrent client) running for as long as possible and last but not least, make sure you're not firewalled.
