Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

I'm aware of how the speeds are off. One of the server times was off by 11 hours. Now it's fixed and I'll watch and see if that was the problem. Now it will say everyone is connected for 0 hours until we get those 11 hours back.

As for those headphones, Shawn, um.... go buy a new pair.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

I hate to point out another problem, but if you click on the link to show everyone who has completed a particular torrent (inside the 'last few to complete' link), the window that pops up is blank. How can I out all the deadbeats if I can't tell who has finished and then abandoned the torrent???

Thanks for all the amazing work, Lynne

PS: My stats are not updating
PPS: This posting is also still appearing in totally the wrong sequence in this thread

I agree...
This is one of my favorite features.
How can I know who of my phriends to mail this zero 1994.06.05 dvd to if I can't tell if they've already downloaded it or not?

Thanks, Lynne for getting us back on track, I know these issues are probably a bitch to get all fixed. I'm glad we're in good hands with you though!

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

OTOH, my stats haven't budged yet, and the torrent web pages on the three torrents I'm running are showing no movement and only a fraction of the seeds and leechers, even though my client shows things are swimming along at a normal pace.

Which is fine, the music's getting spread and I'm not worried about my ratio.

mine either.

also showing up as firewalled now, but I'm not. Maybe that has something to do with it? It can't see me?

I can't disconnect and reconnect right now because I'm not at home.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

Don't worry about the firewall thing. That is purely something that our tracker does one check for. When you are connecting to other users, your bittorrent clients will be checking often to see if you are really firewalled.

I see some people updating. I'm not sure why they are and others aren't. This is one confusing puzzle for me.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

also, when you look at the list of seeds/peers on a torrent...they're all ul/dl at 0

I'm not showing up anymore on my latest seed but I'm still connected and uploading according to ABC

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

Yep. It's like every once in a while, the peers table is dumped? or the peers/leechers number is redone? Seriously, this is a weird problem. The peers table came over as MyISAM (I think that was the type) and so I changed it to MEMORY (formerly HEAP). I'm not sure yet what affect that has had. I am actually seeing some speeds showing up now. I'll keep at it.

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

maybe it has entered a labor dispute and is taking union breaks? I did some work with some union construction guys in CA once and they kept stopping every 30 mins, too... Does the tracker work in Riverside, CA?

Re: The "It's broken, please fix it" thread...

Update:
Ah, something's happening, my ratio just budged up (less than activity since the downtime, but who cares) and the "Activity on the tracker" field on my user page now shows all three torrents where it showed only one a few minutes ago. But the individual show pages, although perhaps a little more populated, still portray the torrents as not moving when they are (or were when I was last at my host machine).

A thousand thanks for all that you do.....
