Lineage examples....

Could anyone please post some examples of how to write a correct dvd-lineage? There are examples in the FAQ for seeding audio but not DVD... Not sure I've totally figured this out yet...

Re: Lineage examples....

Did you check the FAQ in the Video Bittorrents section? Or you could just keep scrolling down on the audio FAQ that you were reading, they are the same page

Re: Lineage examples....

Here's some examples from some Videos we currently have up here:

Lineage: TV (3sat rebroadcast) > VHS (low gen) > ? Transfer > MPEG-2 > TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5 > DVD

Lineage: VHS-C Master > 1st Gen VHS > G5 > DVDR1

DishNetwork DVR> Canon Optura Xi DV Pass-Thru (S-Video & Composite Audio)> PC DV/AVI via IEEE1394> Vegas Video 5> DVD WorkShop 2

Basically, just do the same thing you would do for an audio show. List how it got to the DVD.

Re: Lineage examples....

there is no "correct"
it totally depends on what you start with and who does the work
as to what the source info would be

for example, none of the files i have made are even close the the examples above
some of mine are
Mini DV > iMac via firewire > DVD
vhs > dazzle hollywood > iMac > dvd

Yeah I understand now.... I thought the rules where tougher and that you had to stick with certain terms etc..... now I can see how it works.
