Are you talking about applying this to already encoded videos or introducing this before the A>D stage?

So then I imagine you want to seed them after that?

I'm no moderator, but I have a feeling that might breeching the 10th Video Torrenting rule:

10. No Reauthored DVDs are allowed.
We do not allow any reauthored DVDs to be seeded. This includes any DVD9>DVD5 reauthors. Please seed the DVDs in the original released form. Once you download the show, you may do what you want to it, but please don't trade/share your reauthored DVDs here.

See here.

It's not a "reauthor", but technically a "remaster", and I have a feeling that might be an issue.

You are of course free to do what you want with it for personal use.

Re: Ssaa and media players

Ummm...I don't think you can do this with software (and if you can it's probably very runtime intensive). From what I read, it sounds like this is a hardware thing, not a software thing. If you have a POS* integrated graphics chip, your system probably can't do this. If you have a nice dedicated graphics card, your system is probably already doing supersampling anti-aliasing (perhaps check your video card's BIOS at system startup and look at your settings).

*To prevent potential confusion, I do mean 'piece-of-shit', not some brand name.

The best thing that Power DVD does for interclaced video to make it "look good" for your computer screen is a basic de-interlace. My crappy windows media player does not do that, so on comparison there is a visable difference. For progressive scan video, it doesn't even make a difference though. My version of Power DVD also has adjustable color "selections".
