Thanks for these threads - They've been very useful.

I've been having similar issues with a load of CD-R's that I've been copying with EAC. I only have Audacity, but I've been doing some spectral analysis on them and it seems a lot of them are lossy (some dropping off at as low as 15Khz which is a real shame). It's nice to see examples for comparison both in this thread, and the compare and contrast thread.

one notable exception to detecting by looking at cutoff is 32kHz DAT... the 3rd one here looks suspicious, could you post another SA screencap zoomed to 2 seconds view pls?
