How do you remove a file that is classically shared

I recently tried to remove a file with errors on it. I keep getting this message that I have to remove the classically shared file to remove this. Can anyone tell me what this means and how do I remove it? Thanks Jay

Re: How do you remove a file that is classically shared

Can you explain more about what you are trying to do. Remove the file from *where* - your harddrive? The torrent? What OS are you running? Have you googled it?

Re: How do you remove a file that is classically shared

Are you trying to delete a file from vuze azureus? if so then open the pane that let's you see the uploaded files and the downloaded files by clicking on the my library thing on the left mini pane...then highlight the file and clink on delete...follow the prompts to dele from your HD....is that it? I have not used the classic share mode (I don't think i have anyway) but that will clear the file. it is classic share not classical right?

I have tryed that, removing it from the library, I also tried removing it from the download file in the hard drive and I keep getting the same message "Removal Action Vetoed, This download is the result of a resource being classically-shared. To remove the download remove the associated classic share". Does this help?? Thanks for your help.

ya got me then...classically shared is your phrase not azureus lingo right? I see the classic share mode but no note of classically.
have you turn azureus off and just dumped the stuff out of the document folder or where ever your downloads are kept?

Re: How do you remove a file that is classically shared

Have you tried Stop the torrent > right-click Show Details > Files tab > right-click Set Priority > Delete ?

How about Stop the torrent > Stop Vuze > find file on hard drive > Delete ?

And lastly Stop the torrent > Stop Vuze > restart the computer > find file on hard drive > Delete ?
