Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

looks good

...there is no carrier, but II would still guess fm. if it was pure sbd the audience would be more subdued, if it was aud it wouldn't sound as good as it does, especially the bass drum. hard to say more judjing from the little snippet

it sounds better than "average quality" to me!

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

I have this set ready to seed...

Stevie Ray Vaughan
"We Are Called Double Trouble"
[Dandelion, DL 008/9/10/11/12] (5CD set) (Netherlands, 1998)
-Lineage: original silver cd->PX-W4824A->EAC(secure mode)->wav->flac frontend(level 7)
-File size: 1.34GiB (Flac format)

http://www.willmot.com/SRV/CD/we_are...e_trouble.html
http://www.srvrocks.com/import-we-ar...le-trouble.htm

My question is....since it's '79 & '80 and SBD & AUD...

How should I list it?

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

You can list it either way. We've never been picky about that at all. I would probably list it under the one that more songs are recorded/taped as. It looks like that one *may* be more audience than soundboard (hard to tell with some of the discs). I think more people read the notes than look at the thread icon.

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Got this show in a mail trade a while back and think it would be worth putting up here - just wanted to check
Traffic 11-23-70 "Woodwind"
sbd > bootleg >?> shn

I have the MD5 files but no other info about the show. did a search on the net and general consensus is that it's a sbd. No specific source is listed in the db. Is it OK?
thanks

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Since you really don't know anything about it, you should leave out the 'bootleg' part since that implies it was a sold bootleg (and if it was released as a Silver CD, then we like known transfers straight from the bootleg, not an unknown generation transfer). So, soundboard > ? (unknown transfer or media) > shn

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

I have a lineage question. I have a show that I want to seed, and it came from a good friend of mine in Texas. Here's the lineage SBD > ? > CD > EAC > FLAC > WAV > Magix ACL (speed correction only) > WAV > FLAC Level 8 Will this be acceptable? Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

the one vague part is where it says "CD"... does that mean a silver booleg cd, or is that a CDR. and if it is a CDR is the generation of the CDR known, or is it (x).

other than that, looks great

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Hi five, thanks for replying to my message. I don't know what generation this show is. I asked the friend of mine from whom I received the show from, and he doesn't know either. I'm not sure how to find out, or if their is a way to find out. Would you allow me to put (x) since we don't know? I want to ssurprise the folks on this site with the show, I really want to seed this show, but I also want to make a real effort to follow the rules at the same time. I also used trader's little helper, and created the finger prints file myself, since the show didn't come with one, and when I created the finger prints file, everything appears to check out. I look forward to hearing from you, thanks for all your help on this, and I can't wait to seed this show.
