Re: Glossary

Those are all terms related to Audio shows. We should probably have ones related to video also and probably also bittorrent terms (seeds, leechers, reseed, open window, etc.).

I think about them later and post some.

Re: Glossary

^^^i remember the first time i saw "bump" back at STG...had no clue what they meant [thought it was some insider-coke-joke]

random thought...maybe we could enlist some of the regulars to help with the glossary terms...for instance, ffooky & ssamadhi & billster & feralicious are all regularly answering ?s in 'babble [they're the only non-mods i can think of off the top of my head right now]...if a bunch of us were posting terms here, and then one of us can compile/organize for release with the Guide we're working on...just a thought

Re: Glossary

that's a great idea. let's get all the obvious ones and a bit then post it out in the main forum. those guys would give some great input and correct mistakes.

lol it took me a long time to figure out the whole bump thing at STG one of my first posts there was something like "can I get a seed please. oh, and I think I'm supposed to say bump".

Re: Glossary

How about adding "Lossy" and "Lossless"? The terms are used to describe the different file formats, but people may not know exactly what the difference is.

Also, "Extract" and/or "Extraction"?

Re: Glossary

I was thinking we could scrape together what we've got here & post it up. We can check the zomb list to see if we missed anything really obvious.

I'm in the process of moving, I'll see if I can get to it during one of my "breaks" (or maybe I should say when procrastination kicks in and I still want to be productive).
