Flac, Ape, cue etc. with Mac

I just got a mac laptop and have never used mac, so am completely clueless as to how to set everything up for using lossless audio.

I have used foobar which reads all the lossless file types and also is able to read single-file FLAC + cue sheet. What program can I use that will be able to do what foobar does on a PC? I've heard VLC can not play single-files from cue sheets.

Check the software links in the FAQ. There is a section just for macs.

Actually, for audio extraction on a Mac, I strongly suggest XLD. But xACT is great for encoding/decoding flacs/shn/ape and tagging and shntool, etc.
