HISS PROBLEM

I recorded a stand up comedian last night and it seems to be full of hiss even though my levels were up enough.Ive treid to get rid of as much hiss as possible ,but it just adds other noises( swishing)to it.I really dont know if anything can be done with it,which is a shame as id love to listen back to it without it being so testing on my ears.
