correcting video in Adobe Premiere

i have a Shawn Lane pro shot dvd from GIT 2/5/93 that is dark and color bleeds, i would like to clean it up in Adobe Premiere to learn the tools, etc. any advice, suggestions please?

darkness -- you can push the brigthness a bit, but too much will have negative effects...a trick you can try, duplicate the video layer [copy /paste it above in the timeline] and tweak the second/top layer's opacity

color bleed -- color corrector, gamma, saturation


there's no quick fix or one-button-plugin for this stuff...lots of time tweaking various aspects, trial & error...patience, save a lot w/ various versions, compare results on a few TVs, make notes
