Re: dvd burning software

DVD Decrypter if you are copying a video DVD. It makes an image and burns it too, and it's free. You can use it to "back up" your store bought DVDs too.

Re: dvd burning software

if i have a DVD i'm going to rip then burn, i use DVDDecrypter.

if it's something i author, then RecordNow Max... which is a lot better than Nero, IMO. (don't get me wrong, i've used Nero for years and years to burn data cds, and it's great for that.) but one main advantage RecordNow has over Nero is this: RecordNow allows you to burn data such as MD5 checksums and info (.txt) files inside the VIDEO_TS folder (or outside it if you like); Nero doesn't, in my experience, always giving an error message. to me, if i can put the MD5 checksum on the burned disc along with an info file and any available cover art, i'd much rather do it that way.

And if you are "backing up" dual layer DVD's... add on another freeware tool called DVD Shrink. Sorry, dont have a link to it.

Re: dvd burning software

DVD Decrypter is the easiest, most straight forward way to copy DVDs. Create the .ISO image on your hdd, burn the ISO image to a blank disc. Simple and accurate. It has many more features, but takes seconds to start using.

Re: dvd burning software

Please use DVD Decrypter!!!!

I find that when I get trades from people that use other software (Nero, etc.)the DVD's have errors and I am unable to rip and burn these.

DVD Decrypter is much more accurate.

Re: dvd burning software

Agreed....DVD Decrypter should be the standard for PCs right now.
