It's all about keeping the quality and passing it on. The way I see it is, if you don't draw the line somewhere, you can't draw the line.

If you use a Mac, there is a guide in the FAQ's to using XLD to do the same.
Free program, but the guide is essential.

Perfect rips even from abused and scratched up old cd's.
the program goes back and forth across imperfections till it gets the data.
I'm sure there must be a limit to it, but...
