Kid Rock 5-10-06 Toledo, Oh.

Hi, I was wondering if I could please seed this here, I recorded it. Please read on and give me your impressions.

I'm currently seeding at jamtothis.com and thats where the Faq quotes come from. Theres a much larger pool of people here and I'd really like to get this out.
From your own Faq's, Seems like it applies:

11. Mini-disc is accepted ONLY if it's from the original source master.
Quite simply, mini-disc uses a compression format which decreases the quality of a recorrding slightly from true CD quality. Since there are many excellent sounding MD sources in circulation, these are accepted provided that the original recording was made with an MD. Converting from other formats into MD and then to lossless audio is prohibited. Also, shows that have been through multiple MD generations are prohibited. Please seed your MD masters directly to lossless files, but keep the quality as good as possible by not seeding multiple gen MD stuff.

It's not Md, but the intent seems to be the case.

Thanks, E

Comments:

In the effort of full disclosure, I must admit the format isn't the greatest, but it was what was available at the time.

In accordance with site rules, from the FAQ's

1) No torrent may distribute any lossy compressed music, i.e. MP3, VQF, OGG, so long as the material is known or expected to be available to the trading community in better quality.
(It is not, I am the source and this is how it was recorded.) http://www.jamtothis.com/faq.php?faq...#faq_faq_rules

2) 6. No MP3 or lossy sourcing unless you know and can verify for a fact, the ONLY way the show is available is in MP3, Minidisc or other lossy sourcing.
(I know and can verify, I recorded it, period) http://www.jamtothis.com/faq.php?faq...ent_guidelines

So, That having been said,

This is the whole recording, from begining to end, no hoarding.

Brief history,

My friend Chuck and I decided to take his 13yr old son, Jason, to his first real concert, at his insisting. Yes, I'm one of the old farts. I told the guy at Best Buy what I was planning to do and he pointed me in the direction of the Olympus,
basicly for it's small, stealthy size, recording level meters, St. Mics. Etc. Plus, B.B. didn't carry external mics at this location, go figure?

To sum it up, Kid Rock Loves Toledo and Toledo Loves Kid Rock. The energy of the band is quite evident in this surprisingly good rendering of an excellent performance, IMHO

Please accept this as my way of giving back to a community that has given me many Gb's of enjoyment.

Please do not re-encode to any lossy format as it WILL DESTROY this recording. Do not sell, Share freely, Etc.

Peace, always,

E_Rock

With specs like this I'm wondering how this sounds, but I doubt it would be allowed here.
Sampling Frequency
SHQ 44.1kHz:128kbps
SSP 44.1kHz:64kbps
HQ 44.1kHz:32kbps
SP 12kHz:13.7kbps
LP 8kHz:6.3kbps
Overall Frequency Response
SHQ 100-17000Hz
SSP 100-8000Hz
HQ 100-7000Hz
SP 200-5000Hz
LP 200-3000Hz

Re: Kid Rock 5-10-06 Toledo, Oh.

I appreciate your being upfront about it and that this is the best available source since it was the best you could could do at the time. possibly it is the only existing tape of that night and it is good you made it.

some ppl might be interested in this show for one on one trades, but it is not allowed to be torrented here. therea are some sites that have a "best available source" clause out there (like jamtothis.com).

O.K. thanks. Just making my rounds. I still urge people to check it out. The kid at work I gave a copy to comes in Thumpin, on his car stereo, you can hear him across the lot, and it sounds good. IMHO http://www.jamtothis.com/showthread....4700#post34700

Re: Kid Rock 5-10-06 Toledo, Oh.

I made a mistake in the mode. It's SSP (44.1kHz: 64kBs, 100-8000) not the best but better than SP.
