Over Burning (aka I need a few more seconds)

I want to burn a disc but it's a few seconds to long (79:55) for the conventional burning software I have (realplayer, musicmatch, and itunes). I've heard the term "overburnig" or something similar that which can allow this to occur. Am I just dreaming here, or can this be done and if so how?

nero can do it, but you stand the risk of destroying your burner in the process. I've seen posts from ppl who this has happened to in the past. I've also heard that a few seconds is not a big deal, should work, but a couple minutes you takes your chances. proceed with extreme caution, I would not recommend overburning to anyone, even just a few seconds.

You should be able to go to 82 minutes without a problem. Certainly I've never had any difficulties (using Nero 7).

Re: Over Burning (aka I need a few more seconds)

I over burn when necessary using Feurio and my Lite-On burners. 82 minutes is never a problem.
The only problem I had was doing just under 83 minutes, my burner survived fine, my cd player had trouble reading the 2nd last track.

Check the "No pause between tracks " box also , if you haven't already. It will cut around 30 seconds out.

If you are not even to 80 minutes you shouldn't have a problem.
