Still Firewalled?

I followed the instructions on port forwarding, and the peers list still has me in (red). Need suggestions.

I have a powermacG5 1.6ghz single running OSX 10.3.9, a Netgear RP614v2 router, and run Bit Torrent 3.4.2

I have opened ports 6881 thru 6889 as suggested.

Thanks bunches.

Re: Still Firewalled?

Did you make sure to forward to ports through you OSX firewalled also (or turn off the firewall)? Sys Prefs > Sharing > Firewall

Re: Still Firewalled?

It said that the firewall was off, so I put in the same ports as the router has forwarded and turned it on. Still Red. Do I have to restart perhaps?

Re: Still Firewalled?

I did. That made my ability to connect to peers and my dl/ul speeds very poor. 10%. So I put the firewall back to all the way "off" in the sys prefrences. Soooooo, the performance is back to hovering in the 20-30 range for d/l. I've been able to u/l at near 40 the whole time.

Am I really firewalled. I have alot of experience w/etree, and they have me down as NOT. Perplexion.

Re: Still Firewalled?

What happens if you do a NAT check: http://btfaq.com/natcheck.pl Try it with a torrent from etree and one from here and see if it makes a difference.
