Creating a torrent from Seedboxes.cc?

Hey.

Does anyone use Seedboxes.cc? I've got no problems with it. I created and seeded a test torrent at Pirate Bay NO PROBLEM.

But here it didn't work. I don't know why.

When I create the torrent do I click PRIVATE?
(Yes, I added the tracker announce URL and I aimed it at the correct source.)

When I start seeding (before I upload the torrent here at TTD) it's red and it says: Failure "invalid passkey"

Frustrating 'cause I'd like to share some shows. If anyone uses Seedboxes.cc, can ya offer some advice?

**Maybe I need to NOT start seeding WHEN I create the torrent file? But start seeding by downloading my own torrent file after creating here at TTD?

*** OR i was impatient and should have waited awhile and once someone connected it would have worked?????

(I just did a second torrent at Pirate Bay and it worked just fine when I start seeding WHEN i create the torrent file before I create the torrent page itself.)

Thanks.

You definitely need to download your own torrent file.

Definitely definitely? I know they are two totally different entities but on TPB you can click the box to START SEEDING when you initially create your torrent file. Then leechers see it and are on it and success.

If here at TTD you need to definitely download your own torrent file from the torrent page you create then I'll give that a try.

Thanks!

Well...I've as of this writing uploaded 1782 shows to TTD, and ALWAYS downloaded my own torrent file. So yes, I would say definitely. Always have at bt.etree as well. I don't waste my time with DIME.

Re: Creating a torrent from Seedboxes.cc?

Because this is a private tracker you need to download your own torrent file. Once you download the torrent file you uploaded, a "passkey code" is added to the file identifying it as being downloaded by a user (in this case you). This is how the tracker keeps track of your ratio on the site. Your original torrent file you create and upload doesn't have this passkey code hence the reason you get the "invalid passkey" error.

Hope that makes sense.
