hi, just a quick question. Ive authored a show and its only 500mb in size. This is only for personal use and I dont wanna waste a 4gb dvd for it. Is there anyway I can burn this DVD onto a CD using nero? I use nero burning rom, or is there another program that can do this? thanxs

Re: burning a dvd onto a CD-R

You can always burn the VIDEO_TS folder as a data disc, but you will not be able to play it in a DVD player as such. You may convert it to VCD and put it on CD and it may play on your DVD player (assuming your DVD player plays VCDs).

Perhaps others have other suggestions.

Re: burning a dvd onto a CD-R

on my player I can play most 'computer' files, so I would just take the finished mpeg-2 file with the extension .mpeg and play that. it depends on what your player supports. then you've got full DVD quality on a CD

Re: burning a dvd onto a CD-R

Some players may handle so called mini DVD = a DVD (structure) burnt on a CDR. If your software doesn't have the option, try to burn a rewritable CDR in UDF 1.2 format, and check if it plays on your standalone.
