Well if you're comfortable in re-authoring the show, then go for it. You will need to demultiplex the the audio and video into separate files, then convert the audio into PCM or AC3 (if you choose PCM make sure you have enough disc space) and then author the video and new audio into a new DVD.

I would try another DVD player though. Also, check the audio settings of your Yamaha player.

Thanks for the suggestions and all of the help! It sounds like I will probably be just enjoying these on my PC for now.

What I mean is: do you have any other downloaded DVDs (something with AC3 or LPCM) on your hard drive other than these two phantom shows? If you do, try burning it and see if you get sound on your player.
