What program to use to sync audio/video - Please Help

I got some good video from my camera at a show. THe audio is terrible due to the bass. I want to put a aud recording with the video and eliminate the sound from the original video. Is there cheap software that does this and if so what should I use. Is this an easy procedure.

There are a few different programs to do it. I sync with Vegas 6 and speed correct with Audition 1.5.

Oh, there were some other questions. Well it's a tedious procedure if one source is longer than the other, has different editing..etc...

No, neither of these programs are "free" software. Quite the contrary.

I can't really help you if you are looking for a freeware route.

Im not just looking for freeware, I want a solid program that does it, I'm just curious if it is highly complicated to do it.

author? I filmed it with a digital camera, it is an avi file. I want to separate the video/audio from that video and reuse audio from a separate recording, thus requiring to sync it up.

oh, oh I thought you were talking about an entire concert. How big is the avi file? I could just do it if you want.

Well, if this were my project, I would convert the avi file to an uncompressed NTSC DV video, (or PAL dependending on the location), sync the new audio in, and then compress down to MPEG2. (just thinking here)
