how to brighten up a dark video in sony vegas...

video has some dark spots in it...is there a way to make it brighten up a bit...i am using sony vegas..

should be able to just adjust brightness--I know that is how I brighten my photos in photoshop.

You can click on the crop and adjust icon (may be the plugin icon... I'm not at a vegas computer ATM) on the far right side of the video attribute. Then there is a brightness plugin with a few different presets. I have used it with varying success. For some reason it has different results with different cameras. Some it makes grainy others it doesn't so much. I'd say in general it makes everything grainy but sometimes that's an ok trade off.
