DVD authoring question

I'm attempting to author a few files (.MOD) to a DVD using TMPGEnc author. The files are 720x480, and if I'm reading correctly I have to letterbox the DVD. Is there any way for me to do this without re-encoding the original files?

Re: DVD authoring question

unless it's a really weird aspect ratio I fail to see why you'd have to letterbox. If it's 16:9 or 4:3 then your perfectly fine

Re: DVD authoring question

A lot of home recording devices record with 4:3 flags on WS material.
This is easy to fix.
Demux the streams.
Load the M2V into Restream. Change it to 16x9, save new stream.
Remux, re-author.
Done.

If you need step-by-step, PM me, and I can reply here in a post with those directions.
