Re: To make DVD's of Heavy Metal Kids dld

we were just talking about this over here:
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ad.php?t=16177

you're welcome

btw, "bootlegging" means ca$h, so I much prefer if you call this a "trading hotspot"!

Thanks a bunch
Bitlord has a quite bad reputation for various reasons and is banned on many trackers. Many people recommend the new client µtorrent but i'm still using Azureus out of old habit.

Cheers, beer on me

Once again, best TRADING spot on the net (much better than DIME imho)

Anyway, the dvds worked a treat, thankyou.

I have changed to µtorrent, and turned off DHT, so we will have to see how it goes.

Thanks a bunch guys!

Re: DVD+R help

You haven't said if you positive that your DVD burner is capable of only reading and burning on DVD+R media.

If this is the case, you may only use this type of media. If it's not, try using a different brand of DVD-R discs, as different companys use different dyes on the discs that your drive may or may not recognize.

Re: DVD+R help

It may be that it can only burn +Rs, not -Rs. My computer can read both +Rs and -Rs, but can only burn -Rs.

Re: DVD+R help

I got a Dell summer of 2003, it can only burn +R, +RW. I think it was that fall they changed the default/available DVD burner to +/-R. When I got mine, they didn't even offer +/-R burner.

So, if your friend bought it earlier than fall of 2003, it's probably +R burner only.

Re: DVD Burning(menus, chapters, etc)

Menu's and chapters may be on the dvd files already. One way to check is to use a dvd player program like WinDVD or PowerDVD. You should be able to open the VIDEO_TS folder in those programs and view the dvd without burning it to disc. Every show I have d/l'd from this site have menus and chapters.

Burning these shows with NERO is simple. Just open Nero, and choose to make a Video DVD. You should then see two red folders, one labled "AUDIO_TS" and one labeld "VIDEO_TS". Forget about the AUDIO_TS folder, you don't need to do anything with that. Now all you need to do is to take every file in the VIDEO_TS folder of the show you d/l'd, and drag those into the red VIDEO_TS Folder in Nero, hit burn, and you are good to go. Just make sure that you are not dragging the MD5 or the textfile over, just the dvd files. Hope this helps

Re: DVD Burning(menus, chapters, etc)

You can add a folder "EXTRAS_TS" to put any textfile or md5 in.

Saw this on here a while ago, haven't had any problem with it. This keeps all the files together, if you ever want to share/trade it later.

Re: DVD Burning(menus, chapters, etc)

Not all DVD players support the EXTRAS_TS folder. Most newer ones probably do I imagine.

what version of nero are you running? I have what appears to be nero v6 which comes with neroVision Express Version 3, which launches automatically when you select that you want to burn a DVD... anyway, NOWHERE in this version of nero is a VIDEO_TS folder to just drag the info to and start a burn... I am totally having trouble with this too... any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Re: DVD Burning(menus, chapters, etc)

ok, nevermind... I just figured this out. The trick is to NOT launch nero SmartStart and to just pick nero Express from the start menu and burn from there. Going into neroVision Express is just a pain in the...
