Hello TDD Admins - Has there been any discussion about using https to encrypt traffic to the site? I think it could be useful for preventing user names and passwords from being stolen.
I do enjoy the site very much. Thank you for maintaining it.

I have thought about it, but was worried about how that would affect the tracker, so I kinda then forgot about it.

I don't think it would, since https would just be used for logging in to obtain the torrent file.
How does the tracker know which shows a user is sharing? Does it match user names to IPs in the swarm?

https / ssl cert is easy. problem is with each and every attachment/pic/torrent file in every thread.
until each and every attachment is redirected ~ it'll throw a mixed content/unsecure browser error

Ah, mixed content. Yes indeed. Perhaps I should stop logging in with my banking credentials.

Hey everyone! What's the latest with the state of TTD? I noticed that I get "not a secure connection" when attempting to connect.

Since we still use http instead of https (due to the tracker), you will always get that.
