You could either burn it to a dual layer disc or split it into 2 dvd5 with ifoedit, tutorial here:

The dual layers are still expensive, about $2 a disc when bought in packs, so I would recommend splitting them. Using that tutorial will allow you to keep all the menus functional on both discs. Compression is an option, but I would recommend highly against it, it will reduce the quality pretty bad in this case.
