Decoding APE on Linux?

I'm using Suse 9.3 Pro and I have several shows (mostly from dime-a-dozen) in APE format. Is there any way to decode these on Linux apart from trying to run the Windows MAC client under WINE? The Monkey's Audio page just says "coming soon" for Linux support (it has done for several months at least now). A Google search found a K3B APE plugin, for which I downloaded a Fedora source RPM - I managed to extract it, compile and install it (k3b-ape-1.0-0.fdr.4.2.src.rpm) without errors but I still get unsupported format errors when dragging APE files into audio CD compilations with K3B. Am I missing something?

Also, while I'm on the subject, is there a SHN plugin for K3B? Again, a quick Google found nothing obvious. Thanks to anyone who can help with these questions.
