Buy a cheap on.
My roommates cost $300 & mine cost $30. Mine can play DVD-R, DVD+R, CDR, VCD, DVD, CD you name it. PAL. NTSC. ARCHIVED PHOTOS. I've had it for about 2 years or more.
Go out & buy a cheap one!
