the only time I've seen a slight pause is when a DL disc is switching layers.

you dont really have any specific info in that post to work with.

i dont believe it was an encoding issue - as they have more a vid/aud sync issue.
-not to mention that re-encoded are not shared here & many in the thread would report such an issue.

you can tell us more about the discs used, software used, player used - and we can shoot more arrows at the target.
