Thanks for your thoughts, which I of course respect. (And thanks very much for sharing music here!)
To me, ultimately it is a question of politeness: at least, how I define it. Fulsome demonstrations of anything are never good - yet I do think that simple gestures like this go a long way in the scheme of things.
It's a matter of opinion. Like you, I will continue to contribute, with or without thanks.
