I've been looking around and found a couple of players that are advertised as having FLAC codecs - example include the Rio Karma 20G, and the Cowon iAudio X5 and M3.

A couple other companies supposedly can handle Firmware upgrades from places like RockBox to make them FLAC playback compatible (Archos and iRiver)

I'm leaning toward getting a Rio Karma - but saw a few reviews about hard disc problems and poor customer srevice.

Anyway - any of you smart folks have input or opinions about portable audio players?
