I'd be interested to know why he thinks that is the case. If you look on cdda2wav's webpage, it states the routines come right from cdparanoia, i.e the paranoia library.

Regardless, the point is that if Mac users are using cdda2wav via xACT, then Linux users should be able to use cdda2wav (if not cdparanoia) as well. Unless some modification has been done to the Mac version.

Can someone point me to sources that say cdda2wav on Macs is actually as reliable as EAC? My quick looks on Hydrogen Audio don't bode well.
