If you have the firewall disabled on your computer, most likely you are firewalled at the router. You would have to read up on forwarding your ports over at
portforward.com if you want to be unfirewalled.
All being firewalled means is that you may only connect to other users who are NOT firewalled. Usually, this isn't a big deal for seeders because there will be leechers on the torrent who are unfirewalled and you can transfer the data to them and they can connect to everybody.
