What she is saying is that it is actually IMPOSSIBLE for a site to have everyone with a ratio of at least 1.0, with so many also having over 1.0. That just can't happen. Someone made a long post with all the math and stuff at one point. I should have saved the link cuz I don't feel like writing out a math proof right now.
And Sid, no you aren't out of line. Sure, we don't offer up any perks (or percs
) to those who donate, but I don't know that it's necessarily wrong for some sites to offer some small perks (although obviously some people think any perk is totally wrong). I think I may argue with some about what exactly constitutes a 'small' perk vs something a bit over-the-line.
