havent used the standard BT client for years, but typicaly "open torrent" means to open the .torrent file itself. you will need to find that again on the site, or if you have it saved to your disk. then it will ask you to point to the folder where you moved the files.
i suggest using another BT client tho...check out utorrent. among other things, you can have it automaticaly move the "downloading" torrent to another folder once it reaches 100% and begin seeding again from there. you can also change the download directory on the fly.
