But seriously, it looks like he is keeping up with the development of the PC app as well as the mac app. Why have I never seen him mention this?

Maybe you should ask him if he can develop a Linux version. Seriously, it's in Java (or at least the Windows version is), which ports pretty well.
I tried to run it under Wine and discovered much to my dismay it required a Windows version of JRE to run, and JRE doesn't work too well under Wine. Bummer--I wanted to test the Windows binary.
