If that doesn't help...I seem to recall that you do all your torrenting at work right? Your IT department may have those ports firewalled at the server. You can try changing which port you use (in your client) to something that is not usually blocked. I dunno...say pick a random port between 49152 and 65535.

There's no firewall option under the networks preferences.  I'll try changing my port from 6881 to some random number.
