Its a audience recording done on a Grundig reel to reel recorder.
After some years it was copied again to another reel which would make it a 1st gen cause the master was deteriorate.
Then many years later it was transfered to a digital medium by the original taper but with the assistance of someone a bit more savvy on the modern day equipment.
So the lineage should be reel master>reel 1st gen>digital
Im worried though that either it was dont faulty and made lossy by accident which would surprise me considering what i know the person responsible for the transfer knows about the subject, or intentionally. Hopefully neither and its not lossy only recorded with equipment capable of giving such a spectral analysis
Heres a frequency analysis pic which indicates it not lossy I would say
But then what would the reasons for such blocky spectral analysis be?
