Different portable recorders give different results. In my Sony I can go 20 hrs in 16 bit 44k or about 11 hours in 24 bit 96k. On the Tascam I would say you should be good for up to 8 hours on the Tascam DR-2d. I recommend you recharge the night before every show. Also if you use rechargeable it is important you have the battery setting set to NIMH in the Tascam.
