OK, I'm a Mac person, but here goes my understanding.
If you burn a Video disc using Nero, it will sometimes change the VIDEO_TS.BUP and VIDEO_TS.IFO files. I would *not* worry about that at all. The files to concern yourself about changing are all the other files, especially the VOB files which are the video files.
I think brimstone is correct about the MD5 summer file and with the solution.
