Okay, so you're going to add the logo into your existing background now? There are a few options for doing this by changing your "Layer Mode" settings in the Layers pallet. You'll be able to do some simple, but sometimes cool effects with the way the logo appears in this way.

Hopefully I'm not confusing you more.
