I came across this tread after searching the site for some information. I too have experienced the solid red lines going across the entire spectral view, except that I am transfering cassette tapes. This happens to ALL cassettes I transfer, cassette > stand alone CD and cassette > HD (.wav). [All cassettes were received from various sources.]

I had others transfer the same material and the spectral view from these other transfers do not show the red line. I gather that something is wrong with my setup, either my cassette deck, receiver, or a cable problem. Nothing I try seems to correct my problem. Has anybody had a similar problem before? Can anybody provide suggestions or pointers? This problem makes me feel like a newbie again. Thanks.
