I liked ABC.... but I think it is somewhat limited by todays standards of clients in terms of features. I also found it to be a little buggy.
If you're not too far into it already, I'd suggest µTorrent. It is a C++ based client like bitcomet and will run circles around java crap like azureus. It is very fast and runs with very little system resources.

you shouldn't have to deal with local ip/ outside ip/ passive etc... unless you're behind a firewall.
all those defaults are fine.....
and the info is the same no matter what client you are using ABC, Azureus, etc... so come on now gsmyth79.
