Thanks everyone for the help. Getting exact mailing details on the USPS site can be a bit confusing, but it looks like I can mail anything up to 13 oz. first-class by just sticking stamps on an envelope and dropping it in the mailbox. Anything above 13 oz., I could do media mail for a couple bucks with a trip to the post office. I managed to squeeze 50 discs and tons of bubblewrap in a priority mail envelope, and it came to 2lb 4.50 oz., so just about identical to what Lynne mentioned.
