the first thing a burn prog will do is calibrate a constant bitrate test to your burner.
even when set to 'max' it will work within the parameters of that measurement.
im certain my audios burn at 20x - 24x
DVD's burn at 10X max
medium speed for a sony 48x / 16x DVD burner.
