Five, you are amazing. I've since found out that the original tape was Soundboard DAT by a local small radio station DJ, who then broadcast it a few times. I assume this is a capture of one of those broadcasts. I was looking for the carrier, are there US stations that don't broadcast carrier waves, or do you think it was stripped in the capture/transfer?

I discovered that there is a tiny bit of noise in the highs, so I believe it is an analog capture, done of one of those cards (like SBLive) that does A>D at 48kHz and downsamples to 44.1kHz causing the mirroring effect. The little spikes look like audio cdr artifacts, some little scuffs on the cdr but inaudible to these ears. no sign of blocks, just the abrupt cutoff, ppl seed these type of shows all the time at lossless-only sites.
